O.P. Jindal Global University

Remarks :

One needs an aggregate of 70% in class 12th to apply to JGBS. The details about the application form are available on its website. Once you provide your email id on the website you will receive updates about the application procedure on your email id. The overall process of applying to the University is quite smooth. I was lucky enough to get in touch with Mr. Vikram Singh Tomar who was able to help and guide me throughout the process.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Being the no 1 private university, I had a lot about JGBS from my relatives and friends. My main reason to choose JGBS and BBA was its course structure and its exceptional faculty. BBA(Hons) offered me an opportunity to study a wide range of diverse subjects. I was acquainted with subjects like Business History, Philosophy in Business in my 1st and 2nd semester, and Legal Aspects of Business in my 5th semester. Having completed 5 semesters in JGBS, I can say that it will offer you a plethora of opportunities. With its state-of-the-art infrastructure, it creates the right atmosphere for students to learn and grow. Compared to other universities where there is only 1 professor for 80 students, JGBS believes on providing attention individually to each and every student. Therefore, our maximum class strength was 45. The teaching pedagogy is focused not only on providing theoretical knowledge to students but also on practical exposure to them.

Internships Opportunities :

The internships that our university provides can be paid or unpaid. Some companies like Max healthcare and ITC hotels may or may not provide you with a stipend but will provide you with an exceptional learning experience

Placement Experience :

The office of Career Services of the university takes care of the placements and internships. Recently it had provided internships in companies like Vistara Airlines, ITC Hotels, Times of India, etc. Once you are in your last semester you become eligible for placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Being one of the best private universities in the country the price is a little on the higher side but it is worth the money keeping in mind that you get the exposure and connections that no university can provide. However, there are scholarships available, the details of which are given on its website.

Campus Life :

We have a variety of fests. The fests are a great opportunity for students to network and put their leadership skills into practice. One of our fests is Biswamil, which is a 3 days event, and I am pretty sure it is better than any university's fests. One can be part of different clubs and societies. For example, if you are great at dancing you can be a part of Raqs which is our dance society or if you are good at any sport you can be a part of our sports society. Similarly, there are different societies for people with different interests

Hostel Facilities :

I am pretty sure you have heard your friends ranting about how small their hostel rooms are or how bad their mess food is. However, that is not the case with JGU. The food department is taken care of by Sodexo. The meals are hygenic and absolutely delicious. The accommodation is taken care of by Good Host Spaces.

Interview Experience :

There was an entrance test and an interview round. To ace, the entrance test one needs basic knowledge of maths, logical reasoning, and verbal ability. To prepare for the interview make sure you have good communication skills. If you have been a part of any co-curricular activity in your school, make you mention it in your interview. Bonus Tip: You should be aware of the university's history and its mission and vision.

The placements are good. We came to know from our seniors that they are made to face interviews of many multinational companies and also mock interviews conducted by the college. Students of the 5th semester and 6th semesters are eligible for placements.
