Remarks :

Admission to this college is through JEE mains, the total fees for B.Tech for 4 years is around 800000 RS and there are fee waivers for students from different categories. There is a reservation criteria in this college for students from SC, ST, and OVC categories and also those who belong to GEN-EWS. The campus is lush green and is spread over 300 acres. The college has every facility like a sports ground, gym, park, swimming pool (only a few nits have a swimming pool), etc. It is among the top 10 NITs Of India.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I had an interest in electrical engineering and I was allotted this branch according to my rank in JEE mains. The faculty is decent here and there is a rule of 75 percent attendance. The teaching method is also good and the teachers try to explain the topics nicely. The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:6. The teachers are well qualified and one of our physics teachers is an iitan and has also taught in Seoul, Korea. There are 2 midterm exams and 1 end-term exam in a semester.

Internships Opportunities :

Amazon, Microsoft, and Flipkart are some huge companies that give internships to students in this college. Roles for internship are as a software designer, web development app development, etc. The companies pay a fair price of around 60k per month on average.

Placement Experience :

The students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester I guess. The placement record of this company is very good and many companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Accenture, etc. visit the campus for placement the highest package in 2022 was 1.25 Cr and it was from a student from the electrical branch. The average package is around 14 lakhs. The percentage of students placed is around 80 percent. My plan is to get a place in one of the companies from FAANG in the software development sector.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

This is a government college and the fees are very low compared to private colleges. In private colleges you have to pay 15 to 20 lakhs but here your full B. Tech is covered in a maximum of 8 lakhs. There are some scholarships as the OP Jindal scholarship and scholarships from reliance industries.

Campus Life :

The annual fest is named Confluence and the technical fest is named techspardha. Confluence is conducted in mid-October and techspadha is conducted around January. There is a huge library in the college and it has an ample amount of books. The books can be issued for 14 days. The classrooms are fully equipped with A.C. and are decently big. The sports activities are best in this college one can play every sport in this college. There are many clubs such as Technobyte, Ereck, SAE, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

The room provided for first-year students is a triple seater and then from the second year single seater room is provided. The hostels are very old as they were built from 1960. The mess is also decent and it is run by the students only as there is a committee known as MHMC which consists of 8 students from the hostel and they are responsible for checking the food quality and everything related to the mess.

The IIIT Review

Placement Experience:

4th year students according to me become eligible for college placements. IIIT Sonepat Placements 2023 recorded 78.79% placements. Out of 99 eligible students, 78 students were placed with 117 offers. IIIT Sonepat highest package increased by about 3% to INR 52 LPA whereas IIIT Sonepat's average package increased by 18% to INR 16.51 LPA. Recruiters like Amazon, Jio, Woovly, Deloitte, Juspay, Yamaha etc participated in IIIT Sonepat Placements 2023. I plan To Do an M.Tech from IIT through the GATE exam.

Placement Experience:

I' m from a civil branch so obviously placement opportunities but a student still manages to get placement in companies like TCS on the basis of coding culture. CSE and ECE students need to just cross 7-8 CGPA for sitting in placement cells and based on their interviews their packages depend.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curricula are based on providing technical skills as well as fundamental theories. All faculty members are very good and provide good education to students but some are like okay, because they do not take their classes regularly. I chose this course because I am interested in the technical part as well as the software part of machines. The student-teacher ratio of all the courses in this college is like 1 teacher for 60 students. Most faculty members have master in their degrees and the teaching methods of some teachers are very good but some are very bad.
