UIET Kurukshetra Admission

University Institute of Engineering and Technology Kurukshetra offers B.Tech., M.Tech, and Ph.D. programs in various specializations, in the field of Engineering and Technology. All the admissions in UIET are based on National Level Entrance Tests such as JEE Main for UG and GATE for PG.

How To Apply?

Students desirous to apply for admission at UIET can follow the below procedure:

Give JEE or GATE exams and receive merit rank.
Apply on the college website, by starting new application. Complete registration and email ID verification.
Complete all details as required in the application form. Pay the application fee of INR 600.
Candidate should fill in all the details required and take a print out of Admission Application form, submit in the college admin office.

UIET Kurukshetra Placement

UIET Kurukshetra also has a dedicated training and placement cell which organizes pre-placement activities for students, to prepare them, and to boost their confidence as well as providing them with job opportunities. There is a significant rise in the number of students placed every year which shows the success of the placement cell. The average starting annual salaries in Wipro and Infosys have been 3.25 to 2.5 lakh per annum for 2018-19.

UIET Kurukshetra Scholarship

To provide financial assistance to the students belonging to the economically weak section of the society, there are scholarships available like Central Merit Scholarship, State Scholarships, Minority scholarship, to name a few.

But mostly scholarship is provided to students of other backward classes, ST, SC, and OBC.

Also, the PG Scholarship of INR 8000 per month is available to all GATE qualified students except Material Science and Technology.

Few Merit Fellowship, Assistantship is also available to non GATE students of INR 6,000 per month from the TEQIP-II for the duration of the project subject to availability of funds.

The facilities available for the students during their tenure with the college are mentioned below:

Laboratories: The college has Hi-Tech Laboratories for students to apply their theoretical knowledge, practice, and conduct experiments.
Library: The Library has a collection of more than 3,23,500 volumes of books regarding the field of Engineering and Technology. The Library has 160 desktops for students and research scholars so that they can access approximately 4500 e-journals and other e-resources.
Hostels: The University has a total of 22 Hostels. 9 for Boys, 1 for foreign male students, and 12 for Girls with a capacity of 2,500 girls and 2,000 boys accommodations.
Dharohar Museum: There is a museum, established in the university dedicated to the preservation of the region's cultural heritage, is now a nationally recognized institution.
Auditorium: The college auditorium has a good seating capacity maximum of total 2500 and is fully air-conditioned for the host seminars, cultural programs.
Canteen: The college campus has a canteen on-campus for students and faculty members snacking needs.

Internship is not there in our college. This is the bad thing about my college.
There are no decent scholarships given to you. You can only get scholarships if you belong to a poor family and also to SC, BC, and other lower casts.

Admission:

The students who are eligible for this course must have passed the 12th class from a recognized board otherwise those who are given the jee mains exam are eligible for this course. The admission process 1st is conducted online by the Technical Haryana Education Society, student must be registered on their portal within a given time frame and then admission is open based on jee main percentile +12th class marks. If any student belongs to any category like SC, ST, obc, or EWS, then a reservation is available for him otherwise not.
