Remarks :
The admission here is on the basis of marks scored in either MHT-CET or JEE. I scored 94.4 percentile in my MHT-CET exam and got admission in a computer science course as a TFWS seat. The cut-off that year for the TFWS seat was 93 percentile.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose computer science as I wanted to learn more in that field and get knowledge regarding it. As it is an autonomous college, the curriculum is decided by the college itself. The faculty teaching here is highly qualified and has a lot of experience in teaching. Per semester here includes 4 exams in all they are 3 ISE (In semester exam) conducted every month and 1 ESE (End semester exam) conducted at the end of the semester also known as term-end.
Placement Experience :
Walchand Institute of Technology has a placement cell. Many different companies visit our campus for recruitment. Companies are Wipro, Tcs, Infosys etc. It helps students to acquire jobs in their desired companies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Every course has a few TFWS seats and very few students can get those seats and waive off their whole tuition fees for 4 years. Other students can avail EBC scholarship where 50% of the fees are paid by the government to the college.
Campus Life :
The annual fest celebrated here at Walchand Institute of Technology is called as Atharva. We have a huge library with lots of books to gather the knowledge from. Classrooms have projectors too where we can study with the help of PowerPoint presentations. We have different sports grounds like football grounds, cricket grounds, basketball courts, volleyball courts etc.
