Remarks :
Admission into GVP can be done in 3 ways. 1. category A (through EAPCET), 2. category B. a. NRI (Management quota b. Non-NRI (through jee score). Joined through the EAPCET counseling process. EAPCET rankers can avail JVD scholarship in which full fees are reimbursed.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I love CSE but I could not get cse in any of the nits through my mains so I have opted for this college as it is the top college among state colleges. Not only me many of the gvpians are good rankers but could not get cse in nits. Each set has 72 students and faculty are assigned for 2 secs to teach a subject also a mentor is assigned. Most of the faculty qualifications are mtech and phds. Sem has 2 mids and mid is for 30 marks and 70 marks as external or sem exams. Exams are not that tough.
Internships Opportunities :
There are no complaints that come with the internships but if a student gets an internship offer the clg and head will support the student in attendance. Projects are also done by students we can approach faculty for guidance and sometimes they will also give the project work to us.
Placement Experience :
From the 6th sem itself, students are eligible for placements. Companies like Amazon, oracle, cisco, tcs, etc. have visited. The highest package is 50lpa for a guy but it is off campus. On campus according to the poster it is 40lpa. Avg could be around 6-8lpa.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For a student through EAPCET Fees are paid by govt. They have to pay the hostel fee and 20,000 is given as vasathi deevena by govt. Non-JVD is 69,000 and college hostel fees are 80,000. One can also stay outside in a PG whose cost may vary. For category B students fees are 2,07,000. It also has some additional fees of 10,000 to be paid.
Campus Life :
Don't expect any fests but there will be some events and technical events conducted on a small scale but will be disappointed compared to other colleges. Has a vast library with a lot of books and journals also digital library is also available. Every classroom in cse has a projector with basic wooden benches and fans and labs are Air conditioned. Sports are good enough that various tournaments are conducted all the courts are available.
Hostel Facilities :
Each room will be allocated to 4 members and for 1st year 2 rooms will have a common bathroom and the other block rooms have attached bathrooms. Rooms are non-ac., hot water is available, rooms are cleaned every day and well maintained. The college hostel mess is "PURE VEG" but the very good quality is maintained food is good. For hostel registration directly come and talk to the hostel in charge. Various phs and hostels are maintained outside the colleges. Some stay in private hostels where food is provided.
