Remarks :
Eligibility is to have passed 12th standard with mathematics as a subject for BSc economics Hons with a minimum score mentioned in the college criterion list. The application form can be found on the college website.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Economics is a subject with varied opportunities in the future also I had an interest in studying this subject. The student-teacher ratio was 25:1. Internal examinations are conducted each semester and end-semester exams are also conducted by the university.
Placement Experience :
Placements are available for the final year students. Companies like TCS and Wipro come to our college with avg package of 3.3lpa. Most students opt for higher education such master's degree in their respective majors. I would be opting for an MBA after my graduation.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
It's a government aided college with very minimal fees of 110 rupees per month. There are many scholarships given by the government such as kanyashree and Vidyasagar scholarship for economically backward students. Campus jobs are also provided with decent packages.
Campus Life :
The campus is quite peaceful with very good behavior from the professors and seniors. No sort of ragging culture is promoted in the college. There is an annual cultural fest conducted each year and many clubs are also present such as a photography club, drama club, literary club, etc. There is also an annual sports day each year. We have a central library with most books available and we have departmental libraries as well.
