Remarks :
Our course was named as the CBCS LOCF-OC which has now changed to NEP. We got admission to DU colleges on the basis of 12th percentage/CGPA. DU released cut-off percentages for various colleges based on their rankings and we had to apply according to the course we wanted to enroll in. I chose BA hons Hindi because I had deeper interests in Hindi subject and want to pursue a master's in this. Nowadays admission is done by filling out the CUET form from the DU website and based on the marks obtained you get admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I had a deeper interest in Hindi subject from the very beginning so I took Hindi at my graduation and also have plans to pursue a master's in this subject. Faculty members and professors in our college are a masterpiece of the college. They are very frank and friendly and are always ready to help students when in need. Almost all professors have a doctorate degree and have past years of experience. Term exams are semester based i.e. twice in a year so total 6 semesters in total. The difficulty level of the exams is easy to moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
In our course, we had fewer placement and internship opportunities as compared to other courses. However other courses have high chances of placements and internships. There are projects and tasks given in the last semester based on our course which are easy to complete with the help of seniors.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee policy of DU is completely dependent on the college. Our college had a bit higher fees for the same courses as compared to other colleges. The total course of my course was approx 30,000Rs. Also for each sem, you have to pay your examination fees of approx 700-800Rs. There are many govt based scholarships and financial assistance programs in our college for weaker sections of society. Our course had fewer opportunities for placements compared to other courses which are higher but still few internships are there for students.
Campus Life :
Life on campus is fun. The crowd at our college is very good. Also, our college conducts an annual fest named VIBRATIONS. The last time Paradox came to our fest. Most fest are conducted in the month of Feb. Our college library is well maintained. Students are provided with chip-based college ID cards which provide their entry into libraries. Library has vast varieties of books and also e-books are available. Classrooms are well maintained and ventilated but lack air-conditioner as compared to other colleges.
