Remarks :
students must pass all subjects of the state board exam or equivalent board. students should not exceed the age limit of 24 years as on date of July 1st { 2 years relaxation for physically challenged person} an application form is available on the college website due date, The application fee is merely 150 {for the reserved category has nill fee only transaction fee }. application date comes after the release of the state board exam results. In the counselling process, some percentage of seats are allocated for reservation as per the government guidelines. The admission is completely based on the merit system. I think GD/PI is required in the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose history because it was my favourite one. the faculty: student ratio is good. Not only in my department but also in other departments. In all departments, most faculties hold ph.d and years of experience in the field. I believe it is the students' duty to utilize them properly. Exams are conducted at the end of every semester. They would conduct 2 CIA in between every semester so it will not be difficult to pass the exams
Internships Opportunities :
sometimes government internships will also be available with a stipend of 10,000. some departments have compulsory internship programs to get a degree. In that case, they will inform you. In arts, you won't get internship opportunities often, it is based on your own interest. management won't stop you besides they can give you excuses from the compulsory 75% attendance rule.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is affordable here. The hike would be around hundreds. The cost of study may vary from department to department in hundreds. The total amount would be around 3000/year. you would get the scholarship based on the reservation policy. For general, OBC [up to 1500] and for schedule category [ up to 3000 ]. Yes, you can do an internship purely in your own interest. The staff would intimate about the opportunities only
Campus Life :
In the fest, only final-year students are allowed. every department would conduct many programs, conferences, competitions, etc. For the whole college, there is a general library you would access via the college library card besides every department has its own library. No PowerPoint presentation is available in each classroom. every department room would have one. sports have very good importance here besides sports quota is here. many social activities are mainly focused here. students didn't run anything on their own if it meant it could be personal, out of college syllabus. students are from all over Tamilnadu even other states of India. hostel facility is average. food is average. no canteen during my college days. dress code is very strict. science departments are more good than the arts.
