Remarks :
The admission to NIT Bhopal occurred through JEE MAINS. Which is conducted every year. Application forms can be found on the website of jee mains website which is conducted by the exam coordinator. Further counseling happens by josaa where students opt for their choices of college depending on their rank. Reservation is provided to girls and reserved categories like OBC, SC, and ST. The admission process which is concluded by physical reporting can be made more digital rather than complete manual labor.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose CSE which is computer science and engineering, because at that time the job opportunities were better for the IT field as compared to any other core field. Also, I had an interest in computer science from childhood, and most importantly the placements were fairly good for computer science and engineering ads compared to any other college. Faculty: faculty-student ratio is close to 1:70. Which is fairly low but can be considered. Teachers are fairly available, for doubt solving. Teachers are highly qualified at Nit Bhopal, being a settled organization in Madhya Pradesh the quality of education is fairly high as compared to any other local college in that area. Exams were distributed in the pattern of mini, mid-, and end-semester exams. The exams were fairly easy to pass, but yes some professionals make tricky papers as well.
Placement Experience :
At NIT Bhopal, internships and placements both are provided. Internships start getting offered at the start of the third year of college for every branch of Btech, and placements start getting offered at the start of 4th year of college. The number of companies that came to give placement was close to 150, with an average package of 16 lakhs per annum. Major recruiters included Atlassian, amazon, Wells Fargo, JPMC, Goldman Sachs, etc. The highest package was offered by Atlassian, which was 82 lakhs. The average package varied by branch, that was for CSE it was 16 lakhs, for ECE, it was 14 lakhs, and for mechanical and electrical it was close to 12 lakhs. Profiles that were offered were Software engineer, analyst, program associate, trader, and graduate trainee. In CSE 100% of students got placed, in ece the stats were close to 94%, in mechanical it was close to 89%. My plans included remaining in my current company and learning as much as possible. As my recent company is a MNC.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The overall cost to study in the college for a general boys candidate comes to 1 lakh rs per year including hotel fees, mess fees, and tuition fees of the college. So in total, it would cost you around 4-5 lakh for general boys candidates. The college does provide scholarships for extraordinary students who excel in their first year along with the college offers branch change programs for those students. Apart from that central and state government provides many scholarships, for the students of Madhya Parsresh there was the Medhavi scholarship Yojna, and for students of the defense forces, there are scholarships.
Campus Life :
There are two major fests that are conducted all around for a year maffick and Technosearch, each fest lasts over 3-4 days. With various activities ranging from technical competitions to cultural things. DJ nights and cultural nights happen on a large scale. Other fests are conducted by various societies like E-cell and Iste manit. In the college there is a library with a plentiful amount of books, also the digital library is present in which we can issue books at any time. The issue period ranges from 2 months to 3 months. Journals, research papers, and magazines are also available in high demand in different languages from local to global. The classroom on the campus is highly functional with a well-equipped mick system, fans light, and ventilation. all the classes mainly take place in ntb which is the new teaching block and the department buildings. There are various clubs that run in college such as Aarioha, iste, NCC, the quizzers club, the editorial club, robotics club.
