- According to some professors of SVNIT itself, DAIICT is a better institute for CSE and IT, compared to SVNIT.
- The overall placement statistics of DAIICT are far better than that in SVNIT, with more high-paying jobs offered in the institute.
- DAIICT doesn’t have as good a reputation as NITs in India. But, in companies like Amazon, MAQ, Morgan Stanley, etc, DAIICT has a far better reputation than SVNIT.
- There is an excellent open-source coding environment in DAIICT.
- The number of GSoC entries from both institutes makes it evident that DAIICT has much more success in open-source contribution.

The campus of SVNIT Surat covers 250 acres. The campus is situated in Surat's most prestigious neighborhood, Ichchhanath. SVNIT Surat campus is located around 10 kilometers from the city's railway station and 10 kilometers from its international airport. - The amount given to the students depends on the total budget of the Institute for that academic year.
- Although I did not avail any scholarship facility, my college does provide scholarship facilities for poor students or students in certain categories.
- The hostels structure is very poor. All the structures are the worst and have outdated facilities, such as Indian toilets instead of American toilets. There is a common balcony for two rooms, and there is no clean water facility.
- Just a few negative points, like hostels and food, which I think are poor in all colleges in India, would not make it a bad college.
