Remarks :

The eligibility criteria for this course is to score more than 60% in the 12th boards and you need to clear JEE mains entrance exam with more than 95 percentile. Anyone can apply for the JEE mains entrance exam through the official website of NTA, once you are eligible for this course you have to fill out the jossa counseling application form and they will allow you the college you want according to your rank, once you get allotted IIIT Dharwad college then you have to go to official website of IIIT Dharwad college and fill the admission form and submit jossa allotment letter which you got from Jossa

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have chosen this course of Data science and Artificial Intelligence field because currently AI is emerging rapidly and people with with great knowledge in this domain are getting great job offers. Faculty: student ration is 1:75. Every teacher is PHD qualified. Very Few teacher's way of teaching is complicated but most of the teachers are very great in teaching. Each semester have mid-sem and end-sem exams, Duration between mid-sem and end-sem exam is around 45 days and after every semester there is break of 20-60 days.

Class Size : 75Course Fees : INR 304000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

We get internships after the 6th semester in a 2-month vacation, I have no idea about the stipend, it depends on the companies in which you are working and what role you get, I am a second-year student so I don't have much idea about the projects and tasks in internships.

Placement Experience :

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements, companies like Wipro, Goldman Sachs, Amazon and many more visited the college and I don't have accurate information about it as seniors have not discussed much about it, The Highest package till now is 35lpa which was offered by Amazon and average is 12lpa. Around 90% of students get placed. My plan after getting the degree is for higher education.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Overall my batch fee is 16,20,000 for 4 4-year BTech course, whereas our senior batch fees are a little bit less and our junior batch fees are around 18 lakh. There are few scholarships for students whose parents have income lower than 2 lakhs.

Campus Life :

In September there was an annual fest named IIIT HABBA. There is a library in our college containing books which contain more than our syllabus for extra knowledge. Every classroom contains a T.V. for study purposes and 75 students can attend a lecture in a classroom. There is a sports committee in our college, we are provided with every playable instrument and can play every game (indoor and outdoor). Every club in our college has 1 faculty and all others are students.

IIIT Dharwad - A college to be avoided

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I was interested in game development and I wanted to learn coding. All the teaching faculty in the college have PhD degree in their respective subjects. Teaching method can be improved as they just read pdf rather than make the class interesting. Term exams take place every two months and there are only two term exams which are mid sem and end sem. Difficulty of exams is moderate.

Placement Experience:

In the 6th, 7th and 8th sem students can able to attend the campus placement. So many companies will be visiting for campus placement. Around 50-100 companies will be visiting every year. 85% of the students will be getting placements. My plan after getting a degree is to work in an MNC company as a web developer.

EAST OR WEST NITK IS BEST.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement after 3rd year of bechlor degree. Companies like Google, Infosys, Facebook, Flipkart, Microsoft, oracle, YouTube, amazone, Intel, Uber, Myntra, Cisco, NetApp, Morgan, visa and many more. Over 93% students are placed last year. And the maximum packege was above 45 LPA.

From the third semester, the students are eligible for campus placements. Yeah, we have many different types of companies. Last time one member from our got selected for the 23 lakhs package and i dont know about the lowest package. The percentage of students should be more than 60.

Cbit is the best college in education

Placement Experience:

The placements will be done from the 6th sem but in our college, they started in the 2nd sem, it is very useful in students life. The highest package is 8 lakhs and the lowest package is 2 lakhs. 70% of students were placed.
