- Master of Science in Accounting and Finance at the University of Nottingham is a 1-year program.
- It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
- This Bussiness School is accredited by EQUIS and AMBA.
- Accounting and Finance MSc will build on the business skills that students gained in their undergraduate studies and equip with specialist knowledge in financial accounting.
- In the autumn and spring semesters, students will take 120 credits of taught modules. Each module typically consists of 10 two to three-hour sessions.
- The core modules will help develop an advanced understanding of essential areas, including corporate financial strategy and financial security valuation.
- Students will complete the remaining 60 credits with a 2,000-word proposal and 12,000-word dissertation.
- For a 20 credit module, students are expected to work at least 200 hours over the duration of the course. One example of a break-down of the 200 hours is as follows:
- Class contact: 44 hours
- Coursework preparation: 40 hours
- Independent learning: 76 hours
- Exam preparation: 40 hours

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have a 2:1 or international equivalent degree in accounting, auditing, financial management, or another subject with a substantial proportion of accounting study.
- Students must have a strong accounting background and in their final two years of study have achieved a 2:1 (60%) in a minimum of four modules covering advanced or specialist accounting theory.
- Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL or PTE to get admission in this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, usually in a relevant subject area. This should be equivalent to at least a UK ‘Upper Second Class (2:1)’ or ‘Lower Second Class (2:2)’ degree.
- Students from elite institutions will be required to obtain a minimum overall average of 7 / 10 or 60%. These are the college minimum scores and particular departments may seek grades at a higher level.
