Established in 1901 as an agricultural college, Harper Adams University was accredited the university title in 2012. The institution specialises in agrarian courses and teachings. It is one of the best universities of the UK awarded the University of the Year, UK’s Best Modern University and Modern University of the Year by Whatuni Awards (2016) and Times Good University Guide respectively. Harper Adams University has a total student population of more than 5000 students including 2,500 undergraduates. It offers 49 undergraduate courses, 38 post graduate courses, 10 research degrees, 68 short courses, 5 apprenticeships and 8 extended degrees. Some of the popular courses taught are Animal Sciences, Food Business Management and Engineering.

Harper Adams University accepts applications for undergraduate and graduate courses only from September onwards.
International students wishing to enrol in undergraduate studies have to submit their application through the UCAS Portal. The deadline for the same is January 15.
Interviews are conducted for selective applicants- to analyse their personality and work experiences to judge if the chosen course is suitable for them.
Work experience is necessary for courses such as Agriculture, Veterinary Nursing and Veterinary Physiotherapy.
The university offers conditional or unconditional admission to the students based on the requirements fulfilled.
There are numerous scholarships provided to prospective students of the University. However, every scholarship has a different deadline and students have to apply separately.
Applicants can know their admission status by May 1. The admission status of respective applicants will be updated on the online portal of the website.

Visa Process for International Students

Students belonging to countries outside European Economic Area and Switzerland can apply for a Visa after successful processing of the application and acceptance to Harper Adams University.

International students wanting to study for more than 11 six months have to apply for a Tier 4 (General) student visa to study in the UK. The pilot scheme of the Tier 4 visa helps international Masters’ students studying in Harper Adams University to extend their stay for an additional 6 months to look for work.
Short-term study visa is for students opting for a short course of about 11 months. The students will not be permissible to get paid jobs, extend their stay and claim public funds.
