Learning in the field and lab, focusing on local and global biological issues, students will join the Biosciences team – ranked 6th nationally for student experience by the Guardian and The Times.
Students will start with biochemistry, physiology, taxonomy, and the ecology of animals and plants. Students can then choose to follow themes that mirror the university’s research specialisms in molecular biology, ecology, global change biology, and whole-organism biology.
Students will have the opportunity to progress from field training in the UK to field research overseas, in the Savannah of South Africa, the tropical rainforests of Borneo, or the mountains of Switzerland.
Throughout, students will be guided by lecturers awarded for their teaching excellence and media work and internationally recognized for their frontline conservation research in biosciences
Students will learn through fieldwork, laboratory analysis, seminars, debates, and lectures. Around 75% of the assessment is by coursework – through consultancy reports, presentations, essays, scientific reports, and practical tests – all with an emphasis on active research areas.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
Students are required to maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPA.
In addition, they also accept International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 26 points or Advanced Placement International Diploma with an average of Grade 3 or above for entry to undergraduate programs.

Indian Eligibility:

Successful completion of Higher Secondary Certificate/Indian School Certificate/Standard XII with a minimum of 65% from CISCE and CBSE boards.
To meet the University of Gloucestershire’s English language entry requirements, international students will need to have taken an English Proficiency test of IELTS/TOEFL or any equivalent test.
