- This course will prepare students for a career as a modern engineer. Students will explore the latest advances in digital technology, including the additional opportunities and risks they present. Students will learn how these advances can be combined with traditional engineering to achieve new levels of automation, communication, monitoring, and self-diagnosis. Known as Industry 4.0, this next phase of industrial development is leading to smart factories, advanced manufacturing, and revolutionary changes to connected devices.
- To build students’ skills and knowledge they’ll study automation technology, operations, and engineering design and management. Students will explore innovative approaches to industrial control engineering – and understand how to apply them to solve the real-world problems that arise as Industry 4.0 continues to develop. The course has been designed to be accredited by Engineering Council through the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), the Institution of Mechanical Engineering (IMechE), and/or Energy Institute.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students are required to maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPA.
- In addition, they also accept International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 26 points or Advanced Placement International Diploma with an average of Grade 3 or above for entry to undergraduate programs.
Indian Eligibility:
- Successful completion of Higher Secondary Certificate/Indian School Certificate/Standard XII with a minimum of 65% from CISCE and CBSE boards.
- To meet the University of Gloucestershire’s English language entry requirements, international students will need to have taken an English Proficiency test of IELTS/TOEFL or any equivalent test.
