Doctor of Philosophy at Amity University is offered as a 3-5 year program.
It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
University accepts three Intakes in the month of October, February, and May.
In collaboration with the University of Bolton, Amity offers doctoral programs for research in business management and information technology.
As doctoral students, they are expected to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in their chosen academic field. It is a challenging pursuit but a rewarding one, and successful research serves to help the work of an international community of fellow researchers and professionals.
Students undertake training in research methods, participate in research seminars, and design and implement their own research to enable them to generate significant new knowledge.
The degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is awarded in recognition of independent research conducted within a supervised program of study, completed within the allocated time, and judged to constitute an original contribution to learning.
The student must demonstrate the ability to relate the research results to the general body of knowledge of the subject.
Assessment is based upon the final thesis and performance in a viva voce oral examination.
University provides the flexibility to complete the program in a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 5 years.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must hold a master’s degree in a subject area relevant to the PhD research proposal.
Amity may also consider applications from candidates with extensive relevant professional experience or non-master's degree qualifications on a case-by-case basis.
Proof of English proficiency may be required for international applicants, whose first language is not English.
Students must be qualified in IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE to get admission to this program.

Work Experience:

Applicants require a minimum of 2 years post-graduation work experience in a managerial or professional role.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students should complete a bachelor's or a master's degree from a recognized university.
Students must hold UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).
