The Master of Science in Food Science program at University of Reading is offered in both full-time and part-time basis.
The full-time program duration is one year, whereas the part-time format has a duration of two years.
The university’s MSc Food Science is industry relevant, and the curriculum has been designed in consultation with the industry. Designed to widen their skill set and boost employability, they will be encouraged to complete a research project with one of our industry partners.
This is an opportunity to embed the students’ learning in practice and undertake research in an area they are interested in, such as new product development or formulation.
Plus, their well-equipped building offers training opportunities for further research on graduation.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a related subject from a recognized university.

Indian Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
