Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence at Cardiff University is a 1-year program.
It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
This unique course provides specialist knowledge in areas such as automated reasoning, knowledge representation, and machine learning.
Students will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in professional work placements and projects with leading AI practitioners.
Students will undertake an individual research project and complete a dissertation under the supervision of a member of the academic research staff. The topic for this will be driven by the student's interests.
Students will be provided with a laptop during induction week that will remain with them throughout the duration of the course.
Programs start in September each year but applications are considered as they arrive throughout the year.
This is a two-stage program taught over 1 year for a total of 180 credits. The taught stage is 120 credits, followed by a 60-credit research project. All modules in the taught stage are worth 20 credits.
Modules are delivered through a series of either full or half-day contact sessions, which include lectures, seminars, workshops, tutorials, and laboratory classes.
Modules will be assessed either by coursework, examination, or a combination of both.
The School of Computer Science and Informatics has a strong and active research culture that informs and directs the teaching.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants should have a good honours degree, or equivalent professional qualification in a subject such as Computer Science or a related subject can get admission in this program.
Applicants will possess a 2:1 honours degree in computer science, computing, or a cognate subject.
Students must be qualified in IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE to get admission in this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students will need successful completion of a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognized institution, with grades of approximately 55%-60% to qualify for the postgraduate courses.
Some schools will also require the successful completion of a relevant master's program from a recognized institution.
The Indian Standard XII English qualification from the following examination boards are accepted with a minimum score of 70%:
