Master of Science in Maritime Policy and Shipping Management at Cardiff University is a 1-year program.
It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
The Cardiff Business School is accredited by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The program offers a multi-disciplinary approach to examining the maritime industry, the policy environment within which it operates, and the management of shipping operations.
Students will be taught by leading academics in the field of maritime affairs with an emphasis on independent learning in a research-led environment.
The program is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).
This course runs from September to September.
Between September and June, students will study 120 credits of taught modules from a range of both compulsory core modules and a range of options.
Students will be part of a community at Cardiff Business School which is committed to delivering social improvement alongside economic development in the world’s first Public Value Business School.
The Business School ranked 1st in the UK for research environment and 6th for research excellence.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants will have a 2:1 degree from a recognized institution in a relevant discipline such as Transport, Engineering, Business/Management, Geography, Law, Social Sciences, Maths, or Humanities.
Students hold a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
Non-graduates with sea captaincy qualifications and extensive marine-related work experience will also be considered.
Students must be qualified in IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE to get admission in this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students will need successful completion of a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognized institution, with grades of approximately 55%-60% to qualify for the postgraduate courses.
Some schools will also require the successful completion of a relevant master's program from a recognized institution.
The Indian Standard XII English qualification from the following examination boards are accepted with a minimum score of 70%:
- Andhra Pradesh/Telangana Board of Intermediate Education
- Central/Goa Board of Secondary Education
- Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, ICSE / ISC
