In the first year, the accounting profession course will provide a flavor of the profession students hope to work in after graduation.
Students will be introduced to the theory and practice of financial accounting, management accounting, and finance.
They will learn about the processes of accounting and the structure and development of accounting statements, budgeting and management control within organizations, as well as the nature of the financial markets.
In the second year, students will concentrate on the regulatory framework of accounting practice, standard-setting, the use of cost information, and the provision of information for decision making and the operation of the financial markets.
Students will also study business law, taxation and statistics.
In the third and fourth year, students will study advanced financial accounting and audit.
Students will also complete a dissertation, an extended piece of personal research on a topic of their own choice guided by a member of academic staff.
They will be taught by professionals and the student-faculty ratio is 9:1.

Academic Eligibility:

Students should have high school degree from the recognized institution.
Higher Mathematics and Higher Humanities subject.
A-level Mathematics and GCSE English Grade B/5.
An average GPA of 3.5 or more.

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

The University of Glasgow will consider students with Central Board (CISCE or CBSE) or Metro state board qualifications.
