Campus Life
Campus is great with lots of cafés. Over 300 student societies. It?s one of the top universities in the world. It has basically everything in it. You just need to take initiative
Hostel
£15000
Hostel
All first year students are accommodated in college accommodation. The prices per week starts from £100 - £250 per week. All the accommodations are located at different places so students can either walk, cycle or take public transport. There is the option of getting en-suite or shared rooms.
Located in central London with work and research opportunities with other departments and universities. Ability to do a joint honours program for application based science
Hostel
Post-graduates don’t have on-campus housing. Private student accommodation options available ranging from GBP 800-1400 per month (depending on area and preferences).
This was a natural extension of my role at Standard Chartered bank in the wealth space. I was from a marketing background working in finance and therefore needed a formal ground to progress in the field of wealth and finance. This degree was essential for my next step.
Hostel
My accommodation is at GradPad Woodlane Studios that is 7 mins away from my campus. It has a bus stop right outside the door and a tube station that is 5 mins away. They have different packages, I took the silver one that costed around 283GBP/week.
Imperial College London is ranked 8th globally. It is one of the most prestigious colleges and has high end research facilities. The MRes Cancer Biology is the most popular course and very competitive in terms of a research degree. I took up this course cause they offered 2 research projects and they have PhD studentships that are offered from the MRC (fully funded on home level with stipend).
Hostel
I lived in accommodation halls in Year 1, however, these were not on campus. I lived in a building called Xenia which was located in Waterloo and I paid 210 a week for a large ensuite room. There are several other accommodations located across London, for example in North Acton (cheapest) and Paddington and on-campus in South Kensington (most expensive).
I chose this university for the research facilities, reputation, and postgraduate success. In addition, I love London and was excited to be able to continue living there after growing up.
Hostel
No, at a private accommodation. The cost can be varying from 150-200 GBP per week in London.
Its currently the world's 9th ranked institute.
Hostel
No, I lived at Imperial's student halls the first year. Now I live very close to imperial in a flat with other imperial students. I have a shared twin room, but there are single rooms and ensuite options available too, all throughout London. Rents can be anywhere from as low as $140 per week to as expensive as $400 a week, depending on the type of accommodation you go for, but usually, students pay between 160-200 in London.
I grew up in British Education, and Imperial is ranked #2 in the UK for Computer Science. Furthermore, Imperial's employability ratings for Computing post-degree are extremely high, and London is a great city to live in. I also had a friend study at Imperial before me so from his experience I knew I'd have a good time.
Campus Life
One of the best in the world, quite many opportunities there but lack of time to pursue them
Hostel
Quite many available, stayed at Goodenough COllege UK, fees-950 pounds pm
Campus Life
Campus life is happening. Infinite clubs exist and events are happening throughout the week. State of the art research labs and multiple cafes on campus and amazing network throughout.
Hostel
I rented a studio outside the campus and the costs are quite high in London. If tight on budget choose to stay in zone 3 or 4, but commute will take an hour or so every day
Campus Life
The course is at South Kensington campus. There are approximately 170 students in the program (2021) who come from all around the world. The gender ratio is 2:1 for females to males. Everyone on the course is keen to socialise through departmental events and also make attempts to meet regularly. The facilities at South Ken include a library which provides all resources needed for coursework.
Hostel
Accommodation must be arranged externally- no on campus housing available for master's students. Rental near Imperial College costs roughly 200-250 pounds per week. Residences further away can cost 150-200 pounds per week.
