The course focuses on the foundations of the subject area and also on the ongoing research in the field. Lecturers are research active and often tell about their research.

It is an amazing course and prepares you well for the technical world outside. Everything is very practical and hands. You will be tested and prepared for intense topics, pushed to acquire skills, and make an amazing network. The professors are all from the industry directly or with extensive industrial experience- hence you learn the present trends and are pushed to forecast the future. Research is part of the graded curriculum.
One year - GBP 34,500. Gets revised every year.
The course is divided into 2 theoretical modules and 2 research projects. Since there is not a lot on intake due to strict acceptance rate it is easier to communicate with the teachers and there is time for doubt clearance , be it in person or via email. The professors are really great and they target active learning instead of reading out PPTs. The curriculum is very updated and even during the pandemic they have take quite a few measures so that the students can utilize the most of their degree. There are a variety of projects to choose from, and there are so much to do other than academically. They even allow us to design our own projects if we are not satisfied with the options available. There's something for everyone and it's a very respectful environment.
Imperial College London is ranked 8th globally. It is one of the most prestigious colleges and has high end research facilities. The MRes Cancer Biology is the most popular course and very competitive in terms of a research degree. I took up this course cause they offered 2 research projects and they have PhD studentships that are offered from the MRC (fully funded on home level with stipend).
I believe that the curriculum at Imperial for Medical Biosciences is one of the most updated in the world. We are taught by highly successful professors who constantly make the effort to include their own research into the teaching. We have the opportunity to undertake a placement in Year 3 and we have options of either a Lab-Based Project (20 weeks), a Literature-Based Project (14 weeks), or a Work-Based Placement (14 weeks). The course team provided us with over 100 choices, of which we had to rank our top 15 and were assigned a placement at the end of Year 2. In addition, in Year 1 and Year 2 we had laboratory projects which ran throughout the year which allowed us to develop skills such as Western Blotting, Flow Cytometry, CRISPR gene editing, and Tissue Culture. The skills will be extremely important when applying for future internships or jobs that require wet lab skills.
9250 per year.
Highly industrial oriented and career-specific. Research topics are in great tandem with the current needs of the industry.
32k GBP
Cutting edge methods and topics taught, 6-month industrial placement integrated into a degree, heavy encouragement to take on research or summer placements during summers.
$120,000
Quite updated and industry-academia linkage was also nice
30000 pounds
The course is very well updated with relevance of the subject and in some aspects gives the students a prospective approach as well. Combined with lectures the research experience as a Master's student is very enriching and rewarding
GBP 34000
The course is incredibly Interdisciplinary. The first semester focuses on a broad coverage of environmental topics such as law, policy-making, economics, ecology, data-science, psychology, and others. The second semester is the option term in which students will specialise in topics of their choice (determined at entrance). The third semester is a thesis term in which students work with faculty and potentially an external organisation to develop a dissertation.
26,500 pounds for International Students.
