About this course:
- The MSc by Research (Data Science) provides an opportunity for students who wish to undertake an individual real-world big-data research project.
- Students can choose a project area from a wide variety of interdisciplinary domains, including business information systems, e-health, social media, cloud computing, smart homes, intelligent vehicles, and ambient assisted living.

- Machine learning
- Visual analytics
- Mathematics and statistics
- Smart sensors (for ambient assisted living and smart homes)
- Numerical algorithms (especially computational geometry)

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- University normally require a second class honours degree 2:2 or above in a science-based discipline
- Entry is subject to the proposed project being acceptable
- Each application will be considered on its individual merits
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
