Creative marketers are in high demand as organizations, brands and agencies look for fresh perspectives on how to tackle existing and emerging challenges faced today. With the rapid inception of new technologies and channels, and changes in consumer behaviors and perceptions, the industry needs new thinking.
Through contemporary case studies and applied projects, students will be introduced to the principles of communications, marketing and consumer behaviour and develop a comprehensive knowledge of advertising and communications theory and management in global settings.
In your third semester, students will choose an experiential project. With the opportunity to use their skills in a real-world setting, they can choose from completing a consultancy experience project, an internship experience project, or a business research project.
This course is aimed at students from a range of backgrounds who don't necessarily have a background in marketing or advertising. Whether students want to work for a creative advertising agency or in-house for major international companies, our MSc Advertising and Marketing Communications degree will ensure them to learn the theory, tools, and techniques needed to develop into an effective marketing specialist ready to operate at strategic and tactical levels in the industry.
Students will learn from this degree are:
- a Graduate Gateway accreditation from the CIM which means you will have the option to gain two professional qualifications - the Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing and the Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing.
- the opportunity to attend different advanced workshops with our industry partners and expert practitioners, where you will sharpen your practical skills.
- knowledge and understanding of how organizations develop marketing communications strategies and implement relevant tactics to enhance their brand reputation.
- knowledge of the marketing communications mix and applied knowledge of how to apply its elements in different circumstances.
- comprehensive knowledge and critical understanding of the marketing and communications strategy development process.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

This program is open to graduates from any discipline and does not require marketing study to be completed at the undergraduate level.

Students will need an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK undergraduate honors degree (2.2 or above).
All applicants will be required to demonstrate a commitment to the subject they wish to study and should demonstrate how their chosen program of study will benefit them in their future careers.
One academic reference is required.
