Taught by native speakers, the French Studies course at Oxford Brookes University allows you to develop a high level of proficiency in French and gain a comprehensive understanding of French culture, society and history.

YouÕll spend the third year in France or in Belgium. You can study at one of our partner universities, go as a teaching assistant in a French speaking school, or complete a work placement in a French speaking firm.
On completion of your course in you will have a high level of proficiency in French for professional purposes, as well as a critical understanding of key aspects of modern and contemporary French culture and history.
You will have access to The Maison Franaise; a resource offering interdisciplinary programmes, conferences, seminars and other events in collaboration with the University of Oxford.

Course Curriculum:

The curriculum is excellent. In the first year, you get given an overview of both subjects. In the final years, you get to choose specific modules. There is a large variety of choices. With a Languages degree, you also get a year abroad

Fees:

Loans are available for fees ($9250 per year). Other charges include accommodation and living expenses. A maintenance loan is also available for this.
