You will learn about the key factors in the motorsport business, such as marketing skills, financial awareness and investment appraisal - and gain a range of transferable skills, including communication, numeracy, use of information technology, project management and team-working. To succeed on this / MEng Motorsport Engineering course at Oxford Brookes University you should love motorsport and have an aptitude for practical engineering.

Our work placement programme has been commended by professional bodies as a model of excellence. We have placement opportunities with local automotive and product manufacturing companies.

We will encourage you to work in industry for one year between the second and final years of your course. More and more students are taking up this option, as they recognise the benefits of obtaining industrial experience, consolidating their understanding of the motorsport, automotive and engineering industry, and having the opportunity to apply their knowledge in an industrial environment. You may be able to go on a European or international study exchange while you are at Brookes. Most exchanges take place in the second year.
