Distinctive features of this course
Within the degree programme you will engage with a number of specialist topics including for example advanced financial economic theory, experiments in economics, economics of innovation, globalisation and international trade and law and economics. This programme includes: a) its focus on the theory and practice of financial economics and b) the background of many of the teaching staff, who as well as being experienced academics, have extensive experience working for, or advising, a number of organisations such as the Council of Economic Advisers to the First Minister, the Bank of England, the European Central Bank (ECB), HM Customs and Inland Revenue and the Calman Commission. It may be possible to spend a semester or year studying abroad as part of this degree programme.
