The MLitt in Environmental History is an interdisciplinary taught postgraduate programme run jointly by the Institute for Environmental History and the Department of Modern History.
Environmental History examines human interaction with the natural world through time, and students will have the opportunity to engage with this intellectually urgent field.

Teaching format
Over two semesters, students complete two compulsory modules and one or two optional modules. Ê
Teaching methods include seminars and fortnightly tutorials. Class sizes range from individual supervision up to 12 students. The modules are assessed principally by coursework.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have a minimum of a second class honours degree or equivalent.
- Applicants without the formal qualifications but with significant appropriate/relevant work/life experience are encouraged to apply.
- Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL or PTE to get admission in this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must complete their bachelors degree from a recognized university.
- Students must complete their graduation with 50% from Tier 1 College/ University
(namely University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, University of Delhi) or graduating with 55% from a Tier 2 College/University.
