National Sanskrit University also known as Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha is a Deemed University in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The school was established in 1956 under Ministry of Education by the Government of India to propagate Sanskrit studies, traditional Sastras and Pedagogy. The University offers traditional programs in Sahitya, Vyakarana, Jyotisha, Nyaya, Advaita Vedanta, Vishistadvaita Vedanta, Dvaita Vedanta, Agama, Mimamsa, Sankhya Yoga etc., along with modern subjects like Computer Science, Mathematics, History etc.
The Professional Programmes offered in the university are Siksha Sastri (B.Ed.) and Siksha Acharya (M.Ed.) monitored by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Other programmes leading to Diploma, P.G.Diploma and Research Degrees are also offered under various faculties.
Admission to all the UG and PG courses are based on CUET UG and CUET PG exam scores of the student considering their qualifying examination results as well as Personal Interview. For admission to B.Ed, M.Ed, Ph.D programmes, the university conducts different entrance tests.

National Sanskrit University formerly known as Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha offers a number of UG courses in the streams of Arts and Science under a variety of specialisations for students who have cleared their 10+2 examination.The UG courses are for a period of three years.
The admission to these UG courses are based on CUET UG Exam scores, the merit of the student considering their 10+2 examination results, and Personal Interview.

The University offers a variety of courses for the graduates willing to pursue higher education in their respective fields.
The University offers the M.A. course under three different specialisations, all for a duration of two years. It also offers M.Sc.(Master of Science), MAM (Master of Advanced Management) degrees for a duration of two years except for PG Diploma which has a period of one year.
The candidate in order to join any PG course must have attained a bachelor’s degree in the respective field. The minimum percentage requirement varies from course to course.
The admission to the PG courses are based on CUET PG, merit of the student considering their UG level examination results as well as Personal Interview.
