SKU Admission 2024: Courses, Fees, Eligibility Criteria, Selection

SKU offers 3 years full time BA, B.Com, BBM and B.Sc courses under UG curriculum. The details are tabulated below:

Specializations:

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must have successfully completed 10+2 from any recognized educational board before applying to any UG course.
• The admission committee demands minimum 50% aggregate in 10+2 examinations to be eligible for any specialization.

Selection Criteria

• Students applying for any UG course will be selected entirely on the basis of their scores in 10+2 examinations.
• Final selection is done at the college level by the college management and the principal of college. 
• A merit list of selected students is released by the university once the board examination results have been declared. 

SKU offers a one-year degree course of B.Ed. to interested candidates. There are limited seats available each year and the selection process is very stringent, including the entrance exam that each student is required to give.

Eligibility criteria

• All applicants for the B.ED course must have cleared intermediate examination of the board of intermediate examination or with any other 10+2 level examination recognized board in the country. 
• It is compulsory for all applicants to give the EdCET conducted at the state level to be eligible for admission to the course. 

Selection Criteria

• The admission to B.Ed. course is done on the basis of the state level entrance exam called ‘Education Common entrance test’, conducted by the government of Andhra Pradesh. 
• Obtaining minimum rank is required for the student to be selected for the course further. 
• Seats available with the university are filled based on rank obtained in EdCET and the rules laid down for reservation. 

B.P.Ed. is offered by Shri Krishnadevraya University to interested students who have already completed a three-year degree program. It adds onto the educational qualification of the student later on.

Eligibility criteria

• Applicants should be of minimum 19 years in age to be eligible for application to the B.P.Ed. course.
• Students must have completed a three-year degree program from any university in Andhra Pradesh or an equivalent recognized university. 
• All applicants must sit for the state level entrance exam PECET to be eligible for the selection process. 

Selection Criteria

• Selection of candidates to the B.P.Ed. course is based on the rank obtained in the state level entrance exam, ‘Physical education common entrance test’ or PECET. 
• Final merit list is released on basis of the number of applicants and the maximum rank in PECET in the current year. 
• Seats with the university are filled in based on the student’s rank in PECET and the seats available per category of reservation. 

B.Pharma. is available as a four-degree course at SKU, admission for which is based on the entrance exam conducted by the state and national entrance exams. Students must keep up with all of them to secure admission.

Eligibility criteria

• All applicants must have cleared 10+2 intermediate examination from a recognized board with Mathematics, physics and chemistry as optional subjects. 
• Students must give the state level entrance exam EAMCET to be eligible for the admission process. 

Selection Criteria

• Admission to B.Pharma begins with the students giving the state level entrance exam ‘Engineering, Agricultural Sciences and Medical Common Entrance Test’ or EAMCET. 
• Final selection list of students is released based on the rank obtained in EAMCET by them and the reservation rules of the university. 
• Candidates are also admitted in 1st year as long as they are Diploma holders or B.Sc. graduates with Mathematics as one of the subjects and having given ECET. 

B.Tech. is one of the popular UG courses of the university and every applicant has to sit for JEE Mains and Advance exam to be eligible for it. Once you have cleared the exam, following specializations are available for application.

• Computer science and engineering
• Civil engineering
• Electronic and communication engineering
• Electrical and electronics engineering
• Mechanical engineering

Eligibility criteria

• Every applicant must have cleared their 10+2 class with a minimum aggregate of 50% in the annual examinations. 
• Along with minimum aggregate, JEE Mains and Advance exam have to be cleared by every applicant. 
• The combined result of ranking in JEE exam and performance in 10+2 examinations will be considered later on.
• All students must also sit for the state level entrance exam EAMCET for admission.

Selection Criteria

• Say student’s admission will be finalized on the basis of performance in JEE Mains, EAMCET rank and 10+2 annual examinations.
• The cut off marks for JEE are released by the central authority and a minimum of 78% is expected to be selected for the course. The common rank list scores of JEE are much higher and close to 89% as expected in the year 2022. 
• Final selection is done after all applicants have given the EAMCET exam conducted at the state level.
• Rank obtained by the student in the EAMCET along with other marks decides the final merit list released by SKU for B.Tech. 

MA, M.Com, M.Sc., MPED, MSW and MLISC are the options available to the students under post graduate curriculum. The admissions are finalized on the basis of the Shri Krishnadevraya University Common Entrance Tests (SKUCET).

Specializations

Eligibility criteria

• Students with a bachelor’s degree in their respective stream will only be considered for admissions.
• Every applicant must maintain 40% aggregate in their bachelor’s study program to be eligible for admission.
• For being eligible for M.Ed., candidates should have scored a 50% aggregate in B.Ed.
• SC/ST candidates are eligible for admission as long as they have passed in the respective degree programs. 

Selection Criteria

• The directorate of admissions conducts SKUCET every year and ranking in that exam will be looked at during admissions.
• The combined result of SKUCET and bachelor’s curriculum performance will decide a student’s admission into 5 colleges of SKU.
• Final selection of candidates is based on the marks scored in degree program and rank obtained in SKUCET. 

Students applying for M.Tech have options under the 3 specializations prescribed the directorate of curriculum. Every applicant must clear GATE exam to be considered for the admission into the university. The student can apply for any of the following specialization:

• Computer Science and Engineering
• Electrical Power System
• Embedded System and VLSI Design

Eligibility criteria

• Before applying to M.Tech, applicants need to appear for GATE exam conducted by National Test Agency.
• B.Tech. degree is a must for every applicant to be eligible for the admissions, with minimum aggregate. 
• Students who haven’t given the GATE exam have to give the PGECET to be eligible for admission. 

Selection Criteria

• Selection of the student in M.Tech. is based on the scores obtained by him/her in GATE exam or the rank obtained in the state level exam Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test conducted by government of Andhra Pradesh. 
• 70% of the available seats are filled up based on the rank obtained in GATE or PGECET. 
• 30% seats are open for sponsored candidates first and then to meritorious students, for which selection is done based on guidelines issued by government of Andhra Pradesh. 

SKU has started with MBA as a post graduate program recently and many students have been admitted to this course. All the applicants need to appear either for Common Aptitude Test or Management Aptitude Test to take admission into MBA.

Eligibility criteria

• Students with undergraduate degree under any specialization are eligible for MBA course and 50% aggregate is required for regular students whereas 45% aggregate is required for reserved categories.
• CAT/MAT scores will also be considered during the admission process.
• Applicants can also apply through ICET exam conducted at the state level for university admissions. 

Selection Criteria

• Applicants scores in the state level entrance exam ‘Integrated Common entrance test’ or ICET will be considered during selection. 
• Final selection of candidates is based on scores in UG degree and ICET and the university’s reservation guidelines. 

M.Pharma offered by SKU is an additional option for the post graduate students. The students are admitted on the basis of Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) conducted by the university itself. The following specializations are available under M.Pharma:

• Pharmaceutics
• Pharmaceutical Analysis
• Pharmaceutical Chemistry
• Pharmacognosy

Eligibility criteria

• A student applying for M.Pharma degree ought to have a B.Tech./BE or B.Pharma degree.
• Minimum required scores for eligibility are 50% in the undergraduate degree pursued previously by the candidate. 
• It is important that all interested candidates give the PGECET exam conducted for admissions in the university. 

Selection Criteria

• The students are selected entirely on the basis of results PGECET conducted by the university itself.
• Rank obtained in PGECET and a cumulative of the marks in UG degree are compiled to form a final merit list of students. 
• Reservation rules of the university are considered finally to select the students. 

Masters of Computer Application is one of the preferred courses by the students applying for SKU. The students are selected on the basis of Integrated Common Test (ICET) conducted by SKU.

Eligibility criteria

• Applicants will only be eligible for MCA if they have acquired 50% scores in their undergraduate degree under any specialization. 
• Giving the IGCET is also compulsory for all students applying for the MCA course at SKU. 

Selection Criteria

• MCA candidates are selected on the basis of the ICET conducted by the state government for university admissions. 
• Rank secured by the student in the exam is what will be the deciding factor for his/her selection in the university. 
• Seats are filled by the convener of the university based on the ranks and the university rules. 

Shri Krishnadevraya University has research programs like PhD and M.Phil for the students choosing for doctorate studies. There are 28 specializations for both of the courses and admissions to that depends on Shri Krishnadevraya University Research Common Entrance Test (SKURCET).

Eligibility criteria

• All the students applying for PhD/M.Phil. need to have a post graduate degree under their respective specializations.
• Candidates need to appear for SKURESCET to be considered by the doctoral admission committee.

Selection Criteria

• The selection of the applicants depends upon the scores in SKURCET exam conducted every year.
• Rank obtained by the student in the university level entrance exam will decide whether the student is selected or not.
