At Panjab University, the placement rate for students completing three-year undergraduate courses in 2018-2019 was just 1.4%, whereas 20.7% of those finishing two-year postgraduate courses secured employment through campus placements. Internships are mainly available to master's and Ph.D. students, with bachelor's students typically needing to find their own. The stipends for master's internships are low but generally better than those for Ph.D. students.
