Admission to the college is through the GATE exam, followed by a centralized counseling process called CCMT. Branch allocation is based on student preferences during counseling. The faculty is well-qualified, cooperative, and experienced, with some members having UPSC backgrounds. They use innovative teaching methods, including e-classes. The fee structure is more favorable for GATE-qualified master's students compared to non-GATE students.
For B.Tech students, the fee is ?70,000 per semester, and the hostel fee is ?70,000 per year, which is considered reasonable. The college has a good placement record for undergraduate students, but postgraduate placements are less favorable. GATE-qualified students receive a stipend, and those in Water Resources Engineering get ?12,400 per month, as set by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
PhD education is also available.
