HNLU Raipur Admission 2024: Registration (Open), Courses, Eligibility, Entrance Exam, Cutoff, Application Form

At undergraduate level, the university offers BA.LL.B course to the students who want to pursue their career in the field of Law. The duration period of BA.LL.B course is 5 years.

Admission to the above mentioned course is entirely based on the performance of the candidate in Common Law Admission Test. The total intake capacity is 160 seats.

Key Points to Note:

• 5% relaxation in eligibility should be provided to SC / ST candidates
• 50% seats are reserved for students from Chhattisgarh State (Domicile)
• 15% of All India Seats and 12% of Chhattisgarh State Domicile Seats are reserved for SC candidates
• 7.5% of All India Seats and 32% of Chhattisgarh State Domicile Seats are reserved for ST candidates
• 14% of Chhattisgarh State Domicile Seats are reserved for OBC candidates
• 3% seats shall be reserved horizontally for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) at the all India level
• 3% seats shall be jointly reserved horizontally for the PWD and Dependants of Freedom Fighters (DFF) category of candidates belonging to the State of Chhattisgarh only  
• Overall 30% seats shall be reserved horizontally for female candidates both at all India and State (Chhattisgarh State Domicile) level                                                                           

HNLU offers one-year LL.M. Program which is spread over three trimesters. The total seats available for admission is 47.

Admission to the LL.M. Program is completely based on the score of the candidate achieved in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). However, in order to be eligible to appear in CLAT, a candidate should have obtained a LL.B./B.L. Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized University with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC and ST candidates).

• 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates                          
• 2 seats are reserved for Wards of Kashmiri Migrants under the Supernumerary Quota

• 30% seats shall be reserved horizontally for female candidates across all the categories of seats                        

HNLU Raipur offers Ph.D. course to the students who wish to do research in the field of Law. The duration for this course is 2 years and the total intake is 15.

Eligible candidates are required to appear for an entrance exam followed by a personal interview conducted by the university.

• Reservation for admission in Ph.D.(Law) program shall be applicable as per Chhattisgarh State Government rules
• Candidates, who have qualified for UGC - NET (Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) / lectureship) or SLET, shall be exempted from the Entrance Test
