Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, located in the rice bowl of India is an educational institution serving for the acceleration of growth in agriculture of Chhattisgarh since its inception in 1987. The journey which started as ‘Labhandi Farm’ is evolved into a huge campus of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya. The University offers a plethora of courses in Agriculture Discipline through Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Ph.D. programs. The Nehru Library which is a hub for all associated colleges has around one lakh resources which include books, reports, thesis, journals, e-resources and other reference materials.
The library is subscribed to more than 200 journals and 3,500 online journals associated with Agriculture and other subjects.
The Library is furnished with modern services which include Wi-Fi connectivity, CCTV and anti-theft security systems.
Infrastructure
The campus is Wi-Fi enabled with internet access for departments and students. The classrooms are well-maintained and have screening facilities for lectures and video conferencing.
Sports
