Established in 2005, Shree Somnath Sanskrit University was established to promote Vedic studies on the traditional state in Gujarat state. The University provides M.Phil. under 8 specializations. The applicants should have an Acharya/ M.A. in Sanskrit to be eligible. Each course is offered for 1 year.

Ans. Girl students are provided the opportunity to excel as professionals by mastering subjects like Jyotiṣa, Vāstu, Karmakāṇḍa, and Conversational Sanskrit. These subjects may also be pursued as hobbies.

Ans. Hostel facilities are for both Men and Women. The hostel with boarding is free for students.

Ques. What language is the examination held in?

Ans.In the examinations of various Diploma courses, Certificate courses, and the first two years of the Shastri course, the medium of answering is Hindi, Sanskrit, Gujarati, or English. However, in the third year exams of the Shastri course, Acharya course, M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses, the medium of answering is Sanskrit only.
