Founded in 1992 by an act of Bihar Legislative Assembly, Sido Kanhu Murmu University is a public university situated in Dumka, Jharkhand. At present, SKMU offers B.A. (Hons.), B.Sc. (Hons.), B.A., B.Sc., BLIS, M.A., M.Sc., MCA, M.Com, MBA and Ph.D courses at UG, PG & Doctorate level.

Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website. The Candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category). Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the respective Entrance Examinations.

The university offers B.A, B.Sc, B.A (Hons.), B.Sc (Hons.) and B.Lis programs at the UG level.
It also offers M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, MBA and MCA programs at PG level.
In case of B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.A (Hons.) and B.Sc (Hons.), candidate must have passed class XII with minimum 50% marks.
For PG courses, candidate should have a graduation degree in the relevant discipline.
For M.A, M.Sc and M.Com admissions are given on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination.
MAT and AIMCET are considered for admission to MBA and MCA respectively.

Candidates are required to duly fill the application form cautiously meeting the deadlines.
The university also offers Ph.D in social science on the basis of marks scored in the post graduation in the relevant discipline.
In case of Ph.D, candidates must qualify the written entrance exam although those valid CGIR-NET, GATE or UGC-NET scores will be given priority.
For Ph.D, candidate must have masters degree in the relevant discipline with an aggregate of 60%. Relaxation of 5% is given to SC/ST candidates.

SKMU PG Admission 2023

Admission to MBA & MCA programmes is granted on the basis of SKMU entrance test or on the basis of score of MAT by AIMA & AIMCET score respectively.

Admission to MA, M.Sc & M.Com courses are offered on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying examination.

SKMU Ph.D Admission 2023

SKMU offers 3 Years full time Ph.D program in Social Sciences. Admission to Ph.D program is granted on the basis of marks obtained in the written test followed by interview.

Aspirants will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Ph.D written test conducted by the University followed by Interview. Preference will be given to the CGIR-NET, GATE or UGC-NET qualified candidates.
