Gulbarga University PhD Admission 2023 is going to begin soon. The university offers admission to PhD for a duration 3 years minimum. It is offered in 19 specializations. For admissions, aspirants must have a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Master’s degree or equivalent to the Master’s degree of Gulbarga university (5% relaxation for SC/ST/Cat I). Eligible candidates are shortlisted on the basis of an entrance examination and Personal Interview conducted by the university. Check Gulbarga University Admission 2023

Gulbarga University Ph.D Eligibility Criteria

Must have a master’s degree as equivalent to the master’s degree of Gulbarga University with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks ( 5% relaxation for SC/ST/Cat I).

Exemption from entrance test 

• Must be qualified in JRF Fellowship/UGC, NET/JRF, SLET, GATE, UGC-SCIR-NET/JRF, Teacher Fellowship & Research Fellowship from central & State Govt recognized by University.
• An aggregate of 55% marks or its equivalent grade B in the UGC-7 point scale as per UGC guidelines 2016 in M Phil course work examination.

Gulbarga University Ph.D Selection Process

The selection of candidate is done on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Examination conducted by the university. The application forms for the entrance examination will be available on the official university website (www.gug.ac.in). The application fee of INR 1000/- (general/others) and INR 500/- (SC/ST/Cat I) is submitted via online mode.

1. Entrance examination- The entrance test shall consist of 100 MCQs carrying one mark each and no negative marking for wrong answers.
2. Merit list- Merit list is prepared by the chairperson of the department by taking 50% marks from the PG course and 50% of marks from the entrance test.

The successful candidates are called for an interview organized by the university.

3. Admission list- The admission list is notified on the notice board of the concerned department of studies after completion of the process.

3. Fill the required details.
4. Attach the required photocopies of attested certificates/documents.
5. Fee payment of INR 1000/- (general/other) and INR 500/- (SC/ST/Cat I) via online mode only.
6. Submit the filled-in application form to the Chairperson concerned of PG department of studies and research.
