D.Pharmacy syllabus covers all the facets of healthcare, including biochemical areas that concern the preparation of medicines and implementing those for the right diagnosis. Diploma of Pharmacy provides an overview of the theory and various principles and practices involved in the science of pharmacy. The course is regulated by the Pharmacy Council of India [PCI], a statutory body governed by the provisions of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 passed by the Indian Parliament. It helps to develop the skills to counsel the patients on the use of medicines and drugs. The curriculum of the D.Pharmacy course incorporates several experiments along with adequate theory classes.
Pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology, with English as one of the languages of study or a Pass in DPharm from an institution approved by the PCI under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act. The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
