Kerala University is a state-level university, located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Established in 1937 as the University of Travancore, it was one of the 16 universities in India and 1st in the state of Kerala. Kerala University is recognized by UGC and is the only university in Kerala that has been accredited by NAAC with the highest grade of A++. Kerala University UG admission (except for BTech, B.Arch, BPA, BFA, and BPEd courses) are offered on the basis of the merit list released by the university. Admission to the BTech, B.Arch, BPA, BFA, and BPEd courses are done through entrance examinations such as KEAM, NATA followed by counselling.

Kerala University provides financial assistance to needy students through Student's Aid Fund Scholarship.
Kerala University awards scholarship to Undergraduate students who score 55% marks in HSE/ VHSE/ CBSE/ ISC Examination held immediately before the date of their admission to the College. The Scholarships are tenable for a period of three years and shall be awarded only to students who pass the HSE/ VHSE/ CBSE/ ISC examination at the first attempt securing not less than 55% marks.
