Admission to the PG Programmes in University Teaching Departments (including PG programmes to which admission is based on entrance examinations) will be conducted through Centralized Admission Process as per the details given below.

The Centralized Admission Process (CAP) offers facility for online submission of application to various colleges and programmes. Students can opt up to 10 Colleges/programmes of their choice on priority basis from among the University Department/ affiliated colleges through simple online steps available in the website of CAP or official website of the university.

Eligibility Criteria:

Under Mark System:-

• BA Tamil (Main) Degree with at least 50% marks for Part III or BA/B Sc (excluding alternative pattern) Degree with Tamil in Part II with at least 50% marks of this University or equivalent degree. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible to relaxation up to 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass. 

Under Grade System:-

• BA Tamil (Core) Degree or BA/B Sc (excluding alternative pattern) Degree with Tamil Common Course of this University or equivalent degree with Overall CGPA, at least equivalent to 50%. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible to relaxation upto 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.
