Jiwaji University Ph.D admission 2023 are going to begn soon. The university offers Ph.D research programs in multiple specializations. Selection is based upon the marks secured in the entrance exam conducted by the university which is followed by counselling process. Any student who has completed master’s degree in a relevant discipline is eligible to apply for admission in Ph.D courses. The application form for Jiwaji University can be filled in online mode after remitting the application fee of INR 1000( INR 800 for SC/ST/OBC candidates). If seats remain vacant after the entrance exam, students will be admitted through university-level counselling.

• The basis of selection is purely on merit, through the entrance exam conducted by the university.
• Students awaiting their results are also eligible to apply. They must submit the related documents at the time of counseling.

Jiwaji University Ph.D Admission Process

• Once a candidate fulfills the required eligibility criteria and fills the application form, they will be called for an entrance exam conducted by the Jiwaji University.
• There will be only one paper in the entrance exam based on the subject students want to pursue their PhD.
• The entrance exam is online based with 100 questions of one mark each. There will be no negative marking.
• The test is purely qualifying in nature however it does ensure the admission as it mainly depends on the availability of supervisor in the concerned department.
• The level of questions is from undergraduate, postgraduate, UGC NET standards.
• Students must secure 50% (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC) in the entrance exam to be further made eligible for counseling session.
• The examination is conducted in three shifts.

How to Apply?

• Visit the official website of Jiwaji University.
• Payment for the application fee can be made through credit/debit card or by net-banking. The application fee is INR 1000 (INR 800 SC/ST/OBC?).
• Submit an admission form for a maximum of only five courses. Along with INR 1000/- fee, a separate registration fee of INR 200/- per course is to be deposited along with the admission form.
• All the important documents (Photocopies of the Mark Sheets and other required documents (SC/ST/OBC/FF/PH/Kashmiri migrants/ Parsi / Staff Ward / NRI / NCC / NSS / Sports etc.) along with the application form will be submitted to:

• Application form must be submitted either by Speed Post or in person. It can also be submitted at Central Library by hand.

The university may or may not continue a self-supporting course in which the admission is less than 5 (number of students) in M. Phil and 10 in all other courses. In such cases full fees shall be refunded.

Jiwaji University Ph.D Course Details

• After the Counseling, if the students get approval for admission will now be required to pass the coursework examination. Classes for this will be provided at different centres.
• Lectures will be provided on research methodology, subject you opted for and computer applications.
• Viva voce will be conducted to judge students' comprehensive understanding on the basis of course work classes.
• After coursework examination will allow students to get permission for the submission of synopsis. Hence, students must secure 55% in this exam irrespective of the category they belong to.
• After synopsis submission, scholars will be asked to defend their research in front of the Registration Degree Committee(RDC).
