National Law Institute University (NLIU) provides various courses under research course level which are as following:
Research courses: Ph.D. (in 2 disciplines) – 2 years
Candidates can get admission to the above-mentioned courses through written test and interview conducted by the university.

Candidates can register themselves to the above-mentioned courses by submitting the application form fee of amount INR.1500/-.
At the time of Admission, the candidates must pay INR. 1000/- as Admission Fees.

Eligibility for Admission:
The university offers a Ph.D. in the following programs:
The university offers 2 Junior Research Fellowships to the selected candidates according to their merit in the entrance test.
To be eligible for admission to Ph.D. Program, the candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the Entrance Test and Interview conducted by NLIU Bhopal. However, the candidates who have qualified UGC NET/JRF need not appear for the All India Written Test but they must appear for an interview before the Board on the notified date.
The Law Teachers of Indian Colleges/Universities may apply for admission to the Ph.D. Program with the prior approval of their Principal/Vice-Chancellor.
Procedure for Admission: Through All India Written Test and Interview.
The Admission to Ph. D. Programs will be governed by the University Grants Commission Regulations and National Law Institute University Rules for Ph. D. Programs.
To be eligible for admission to Ph.D. Program, the candidate must secure at least 50% marks in the Entrance Test and Interview conducted by NLIU Bhopal.
Candidates exempted from the entrance exam: Those who have qualified UGC NET/JRF need not appear for the All India Written Test.
However, they must appear for an interview round before the Selection Board.
The candidates must pay INR 1000/- as admission fees.
