Admission to the MTech program is highly competitive, primarily requiring strong GATE or CSIR-JRF exam results. Research Assistant (RA) candidates are selected based on GATE scores, followed by a test and interview. A candidate with an AIR of 401 in GATE successfully entered the RA program via these assessments. The Power Electronics course is notable for its placement success, ranking third after IISc and IITK. Admission is mainly through GATE, although high BTech GPA and interviews are alternative routes.
The faculty, consisting of 10 experienced members, are deeply involved in research and industrial collaborations. The college fees are transparent, with semester costs, including food and accommodation, ranging from Rs. 36,000 to Rs. 45,000, and tuition fees at about Rs. 16,000.
