About
Utkal University situated in Bhubaneswar, Odisha was established in 1943 and the university was laid by Dr. Rajendra Prasad (first president of India) and was inaugurated by Dr. S Radhakrishnan (second president of India). Utkal University is the 17th oldest university in India. It is the largest affiliating university in India with 576+ affiliated colleges of various branches. Currently, the university offers UG, PG, Ph.D., and M.Phil. courses to students and the university at present have about 7 PG departments.

Utkal University Admission
Admission at Utkal university is 70% entrance-based and 30% on other modes. Candidates for UG courses are selected on first come first serve and candidates for PG courses like MA and M.Com. are selected with the entrance examination and merit based followed by the interview/Group Discussion.

- There are not enough rooms for all the students and it is a bit difficult to get a room.
- College infrastructure is not good at all as it is a government institution, so there is no management. Faculty were engaging in politics amongst themselves, which is causing a lot of suffering for the students. The management is completely ineffective, and some department faculty do not even know how to.

The admission process is very simple. it is 2nd highest cutoff college in kendrapara district. if anyone wants to take admitted he applies through Sam's and the college set cutoff marks then if you select then went to the college and the college staff are very kind they help to take admission to the college.

There is no examination for admission, it is purely based on the 12th exam result and a merit list is created.
The application form is available at UUEMS after the 12th result declaration.
Merit basis admission is done a student can apply to at maximum 5 colleges in the application.

The admission process is really good. we don't have to appear in any entrance exam. it depends upon the 12th board exam percentage and cut-off marks and as I am in zoology hons cutoff was 69 per cent. yes, we can get a different reservation for SEBC. The application fees are very affordable so every student who cants apply for our college.
