The department has around 20 faculty members guiding 25 undergraduate students. The academic year is structured into two semesters, each with one semester exam and two internal tests. Placement opportunities differ significantly across programs. MSc Mathematics students find limited placement opportunities, often with coaching centers, while MBA students enjoy higher placement rates. Internships are not offered for Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science students, but are available for Library Science, MBA, Anthropology, and Biotechnology students, focusing on software development, data analytics, and data management. These internships help students build essential skills and gain a broad understanding of data. Financially, the university provides a merit-cum-means scholarship with a 3,500 stipend per semester for students with an income below 2.5 LPA. Additionally, the top student receives 10,000, and the second gets 5,000. Tuition fees are 15,000 annually, split into 3,000 for even semesters and 12,000 for odd semesters, plus a one-time admission fee of 24,000. Science and humanities students have different fee structures, with humanities being slightly cheaper. Scholarships are available for the top three students based on merit and for students from Kerala studying outside the state. OBC students can apply for the Egrands scholarship.
