M.Tech. is a two-year PG course degree offered by Pondicherry University. This two-year program is divided across 4 semesters. It offers 8 different M.Tech streams to choose from. • Candidates must have a B.Tech/BE degree from a recognized University. 
• They must hold a minimum of 55% in the Graduation. 

Pondicherry University M.Tech Admission Guidelines

Selection to any specialization other than Computational Biology is done on the basis of Pondicherry University Entrance Examination conducted by the university.

For M. Tech in Computational Biology - on the basis of Common Entrance Examination conducted by PU in collaboration with Anna University.

• Now, Click on the ‘New user’ link.
• Fill details in the application form of the desired course /program including educational qualification and other important documents.
• Upload your passport size photograph and signature in the application form carefully.
• Candidates are advised to take a printout of the application form. Keep the printout safe for other admission procedures.
• Candidates must submit their application fee through credit/debit card.
• Register yourself for the entrance examination.

Pondicherry University M.Tech Scholarships 

The institute provides Merit and Merit cum Means scholarship for the M.Tech appearing candidates. 

Merit Scholarship 

1. Students who secure 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions in the PG entrance exams can avail this scholarship. The amount of the scholarship is INR 2000/-, INR 1500/-, and INR 1000/- per month respectively.
2. Students who are rank holders in the UG degree are eligible for the merit scholarship. 

Merit Cum Means Scholarship 

Merit cum Means Scholarship is provided to 20% of students in the M.Tech program. It is based on the merit of semester examinations. It is provided to students whose parents income is not more than 2,50,000/-. 

The first semester MCM scholarship will be provided based on merit in the Entrance exam. The amount is INR 750/- per month. 

Merit cum Means Scholarship Eligibility: 

• Candidates must secure 70% attendance each month. 
• Candidates must pass all the subjects in semester examinations.
• Candidates must verify with the HOD if the above 2 eligibility criteria are satisfied.

Scholarship for M.Tech Computational Biology

The institute offers INR 12000/- per month to all the students admitted in the subject. 

Madanjeet Singh Group Scholarship 

The institute offers full scholarships to 8 students in the M.Tech program. It is provided by the members of SAARC countries. This Scholarship covers living expenses of INR 10000/-, hostel fee, and tuition fee. 

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy 

MNRE offers CGET scholarship to 15 M.Tech students after qualifying GATE/CSIR. 

GATE Scholarship 

GATE Scholarship is provided by UGC to students who secure valid marks in GATE examination.
