Students applying for admission for an LLM course must have completed an LLB / BBL / BAL / BGL degree or equivalent degree with 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university/institute

Admission to the LLM program is purely on the basis of merit. A merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the bachelor’s degree. Candidates applying for LLM course at Annamalai University Directorate of Distance Education must have to apply offline

Annamalai University LLM Course Details

The LLM program is offered in mainly two specializations: Contracts Including Mercantile Law and Labour and Industrial Relations and Administrative Law.

The program has a duration of 3 years and divided into six semesters. The odd semester begins in May and ends in November. The even semester begins in December and ends in April.
The student needs to earn 55 credits to complete and obtain an LLM degree.

Ans. Candidates applying for admission to the institute must submit the following documents: Transcripts of class X and XII, transcripts of LLB / BBL / BAL / BGL degree demand draft for the program fees, categories certificates, transfer certificate, character certificate, and copies of educational certificates and valid identification cards.

Ques. What is the reservation criteria at Annamalai University?

Ans. 50% seats are allotted to students belonging to the general category, 28% seats are allotted for students belonging to the OBC category, 14% seats are reserved for students belonging to the SC category, and 9 % seats are reserved for students belonging to Scheduled tribes category.

Ques. What are the different scholarships offered by Annamalai University?

Ans. SC/ST students pursuing Distance Education Programmes are eligible for reimbursement of the non-refundable fees if they are not employed and the annual income of their parents does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/-.

Ans. Students who desire to change the program or medium of instruction or optional subject (if they fulfill the eligibility conditions) chosen at the time of applying for admission, may apply to the Directorate along with the prescribed fee of Rs. 750/- either before the expiry of 30 days from the date of confirmation of their admission or before attending the First compulsory Personal Contact Programme, whichever is earlier.

Ans. Personal Contact Programmes or PCP is arranged at least twice a year in different centres, depending on the number of students enrolled in different areas, for all the programs offered by the DDE. The Directorate reserves the right to fix, shift, or cancel any PCP centre.
