• He/She should have completed the Age of 17 Years on or before 31st December of the academic year in which the candidate is seeking admission.
• Candidates belonging to all Categories expect Schedules Caste/ Schedules Tribe for admission to the Course Should have obtained not less than 50% mark in Aggregate in Physics , Chemistry And Biology (Botany/Zoology) Bio Technology at the qualifying Examination (Academic Stream 10 +2 /HSE/PUC) after a period of 12 years study.
• Candidates who have studied abroad, the equivalent qualification as determined by the Association of Indian Universities shall form the guidelines to determine eligibility and should have the passed in the Subjects of Physics Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English up to the 12th standard level with 50% marks aggregate.
• Candidates belonging to Scheduled caste /scheduled tribe, or other Back ward class the minimum marks for admission shall be 40% 50% for General category.

Meenakshi University/Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER) invites applications for the MBBS Programme for the academic year 2021. The admissions to various private and government medical colleges under the aegis of MAHER will be through the Entrance Exam conducted by MAHER, Chennai. The applications usually come out by April or May.

The institute is one of premiere institutes of medicine in the country. With the limited number of seats, the competition is very high. No other rank or marks except the ones acquired in the Entrance Exam will allow for admission.

Eligibility Criteria

• You should have completed the two years intermediate, HSC or equivalent course thereof, with science subjects i.e., English, Physics, Chemistry and biology from a recognized Indian University or Pre-University.
• You should have secured not less than 60% of marks on the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and biology in the qualifying or competitive examination conducted on similar lines as the qualifying examination conducted by a competitive body.
• Age: You should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or complete this age on 31st December of the year of admission.
• You should be medically fit.

The reservation policy of the University will be as per the norms prescribed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Admission Process

You are selected on the basis of rank obtained in an Entrance Exam conducted by the University which consists of one paper. The Paper consists of Multiple Choice Type questions (MCQs) with 4 options. It is a 2 hour paper with no negative marking, so you can attempt as many questions as you can. The Syllabus for the paper includes Physics, Chemistry and Biology of HSC level.
