CSJMU LLB Eligibility Criteria

The students who want to get admission into the LLB program at CSJMU should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

The candidates must have completed 3 years graduate degree in any stream with a minimum of 45% marks (for general category) and 42% marks (for OBC category) and 40% (for SC/ST/ Differently abled ) from a university established by law, or as per norms of Bar Council of India.
The applicant’s age should not be greater than 30 years at the time of applying for LLB. However, a concession of 5 years is granted to ST/ST or any other backward category students.
Applicants appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to appear in the entrance test.

CSJMU LLB Admission Criteria

CSJMU grants admission to its three-year Bachelor’s course of Law through a Joint Entrance test conducted by the University.

CSJMU LLB Selection Criteria

The final result will be declared on the basis of merit and will also depend on the number of seats available. If selected students have to go for document verification. Only after verification and payment of fees the seat is confirmed.

CSJMU LLB Application Process

Visit the official website of CSJMU @csjmu.ac.in.
Click on the ‘Online Application’ link.
Fill the application form and upload the desired documents such as photographs and mark sheets.
Candidates are then required to pay the application fee of INR 600 (INR 400 for SC/ST categories) by Credit/ Debit Card/ Net-Banking or Challan.
Click on ‘Submit’ and take the printout of the duly filled application form for future reference.

CSJMU LLB Course Details

The three-year course of LLB is spread over six semesters for examination purposes, each academic year having two semesters.
In each semester, the maximum marks of exams are 100 and the candidate should attain at least 36% individually in each paper and 48% in aggregate.
The division is awarded based on overall marks obtained by the students. For instance, students who attain more than 60% are awarded first division, and students who attain between 48% and 60% are awarded second division.
Promotion: A candidate is promoted to second next semester if he clears four out of five papers but no candidate will be allowed to join the fifth semester unless he/she clears all the papers.

Ans. Yes, foreign nationals can also apply for CSJM LLB Admission by filling an online application form. Foreign students are exempted from taking the entrance exam. They need to attest any of the following documents along with their application:

A responsible official of the Ministry of Education of the applicant's country.
An official of the applicant’s country’s Embassy/High Commission in India.

Ques. What is the attendance criterion for CSJM LLB?

Ans. CSJM LLB students have to attend at least 75% of classes, practicals, and tutorials to be able to qualify to sit in examinations of each semester. In case of any emergency or valid issue, the Principal of the college may allow the students even if he has 60% attendance overall.

Ques. Are there any reservation criteria for CSJM LLB Admission?

Ans. Yes, reservation of seats to SC, ST, OBC, PH, EWS, and dependents of Army personals is governed by prevailing U.P. State Government orders/as per rule laid down by CSJMU. Relaxation in percentage marks to SC, ST, Differently Abled candidates is also provided as per government orders/rules laid down by C.S.J.M. University.

Ans. The maximum time period to complete any course will be double the duration of the respective course. Thus, a CSJM LLB Admission student can complete his/her degree in a maximum of six years.
