Master of Design [M.Des] From IIT Kanpur, Kanpur

IIT Kanpur MDes admission 2024 are open and the application deadline has been extended till April 12, 2024. To be eliglbe for IIT Kanpur M.Des program, candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design, or Architecture from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent. Furthermore, valid scores secured in GATE/CEED 2024 exam are required in order to be eligible for this program. However, BTech graduates from IITs with a minimum CPI of 8.0 in the last 2 years of BTech degree are exempted from the requirement of the GATE scores.

On completion of the application process, IIT Kanpur shortlists candidates for written test and PI round on the basis of marks scored in GATE or CEED exam. Those who qualify the IIT Kanpur MDes cutoff are shortlisted for the written test or PI round.

IIT Kanpur MDes cutoff is the minimum marks that student must score in CEED or GATE exam to get selected for the entrance exam round. IIT Kanpur MDes CEED Exam Pattern 2024

The CEED examination will consist of two parts, Part-A and Part-B. Candidates must attempt questions from both the parts. Marks obtained in Part-A will be used to shortlist candidates. Part-B answer books will be evaluated manually ONLY for those candidates who are shortlisted from Part-A. The final CEED score will be calculated by giving 25% weightage to marks obtained in Part-A and 75% weightage to marks obtained in Part-B, after the above calculation.

The M.Des course at IIT Kanpur is an interdisciplinary combination of architecture, aesthetics, technology, social sciences, and marketing, all while adhering to sustainability principles.
